In October 2011 Wing Parish Council started their Neighbourhood Plan to shape the future of the parish over the next 20 years. Initially about Housing development it has now become much more than that. When looking at the Plan we have to ensure that as much of the history of the area is saved from development, the more we looked into it the more we realised that there was lots here but it hadn’t been made public or taken notice of.

One of the roles of the Heritage Project was to fill in the missing pieces, create a tourist industry and make sure that our heritage is here for generations to come. Now the Group has split from the Neighbourhood Plan it will hopefully be able to inform planning policy within Wing parish, working with the Parish Council as and when necessary.
