Wing can trace its roots back to pre-Roman Conquest. With a Grade I listed Saxon Church, Grade II Parkland and the National Trust Ascott House.

During the 19th century, Wing was a straw plaiting and agricultural village. It then played host to 26 Operational Training Unit at RAF Wing during World War II.

Wing Heritage Group has a number of research projects at the moment, these will be published in a journal later on this year. This will be free to members.
